On May 13, at 1:00 PM students, advocates, decision makers and community members will convene at George Sims Community Center for the Blooming in Unity Youth Forum, hosted by Z-VYBE (Gen-Z Visionary Youth Building Empowerment). Participants will come together, in-person, to collaborate and promote solutions to create a healthier Sacramento for all youth. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in art-ivism activities that highlight community health priorities.
Our Gen-Z Visionary Youth Building Empowerment (Z-VYBE) program youth participants have shown tremendous initiative through their engagement with the program, learning about the Social Determinants of Health, mental health awareness, drug abuse awareness, social media advocacy and many other topics. This Spring we present our first youth forum, filled with art work, spoken word opportunities, and vital conversations with our local decision makers.
This transformative space will allow for open dialogue and solution building around topics of health equity, youth supports, and building stronger futures for our Sacramento youth.
