Latino Coalition for a Health California (LCHC) 2020 Policy Priorities

LCHC maintains our commitment to support and advocate for equitable legislation that achieves health for all, builds healthy communities, and secures health as a fundamental human right. We are pleased to announce our 2020 California Legislative Priorities. These priorities address the immediate needs of low-income communities of color disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. These legislative efforts address health disparities caused by social issues such as racism, immigration status, gender discrimination, and environmental issues including access to healthy foods and safe spaces for physical activity.

Latinx health is California’s health. As such, we have identified the following priorities that deserve particular consideration by lawmakers, regulatory agencies, health care, public health providers, and community health advocates. We advocate that all policies center equity and integrate community engagement processes in investments and implementation.
