LCHC is happy to announce the creation and launch of the Adelante, California Community Advisory Board (CAB). We’ve convened diverse voices from throughout California including youth leaders, physicians, dentists, advocates, researchers, and promotorxs (community leaders) to develop and elevate community-driven solutions in CA.

The ¡Adelante, California! Community Advisory Board is meant to build and foster partnerships between community leaders, CBOs, research institutions, State agencies, and legislators to develop community-led strategies and solutions to reduce oral health and children’s health inequities for all Californians. Members of the CAB will assist in developing the policy agenda, strategies, and other advocacy efforts centered on equitable solutions to create system and policy changes affecting Latinx communities. While the conversations will deep-dive into opportunities to improve the health status of the Latinx community, the largest racial/ethnic demographic group in the State, the strategies will advance health equity for all Californians. Strategies may include but are not limited to the following: state policy, programs, collaboratives, initiatives, and other emerging practices.

LCHC is honored to be working with the Adelante, CA Community Advisory Board in developing community-centered equitable solutions to improve the health of all Californians. The CAB members are leaders in their respective fields and communities and, through their advocacy efforts, continue to define resiliency and passion as they elevate social justice in our state. We look forward to working collaboratively with our dynamic CAB to meet the needs of the community.
