Latino Coalition for a Healthy California Launches Latine and Indigenous Regional Power Hubs to Connect Public Health Organizations Across California

[Sacramento, CA] The Latino Coalition for a Healthy California (LCHC), the leading statewide policy organization with a specific emphasis on Latine & Indigenous health, proudly announces the launch of the Latine and Indigenous Regional Power Hubs Network (RPHN). This strategic initiative will formalize a network of trusted community organizations working together, in unity, to advance a health equity agenda and transform California into a place for Latine and Indigenous communities to thrive.

“This initiative harnesses our collective power, weaving together a shared vision for California, one of true health justice,” said Dr. Seciah Aquino, Executive Director of the Latino Coalition for a Healthy California. We each play a crucial role, whether through direct service, advocacy, or serving as trusted messengers. Together, we form the complete picture of a just and equitable health and safety-net system. When we stand united, our voices are stronger, our impact is greater, and our vision of health justice becomes a reality. El pueblo unido jamás será vencido. Y nosotros estamos unidos.”

Introducing the Regional Power Hubs

The Latine and Indigenous Regional Power Hubs initiative formalizes a statewide Latine and Indigenous trust and communication network. This work deepens relationships critical to advancing a unified vision for health equity. This initiative seeks to:

  1. Unify the Latine and Indigenous health equity movement by centering a social determinants of health perspective into the policy transformation needed at the state and local levels.
  2. Strengthen communication and collaboration between our community and the state. Creating pathways for partnership and mobilization that invest in and leverage the trust Latine & Indigenous organizations have nurtured over decades across the State.
  3. Expand opportunities for local and regional organizations to influence state-wide policy & system transformation.

Building a Stronger Coalition

LCHC has a historic and highly valued relationship with regional CBOs, recognizing their essential role in providing thought leadership, mobilizing communities, and evaluating policy impacts. Through the RPHN, LCHC is directly investing in these partnerships, ensuring that community leaders’ expertise and lived experiences guide advancing culturally and linguistically competent health policies and outreach strategies.

As partners in this initiative, LCHC is committed to continuous learning, listening, and collaboration to ensure that health justice remains at the forefront of policy development and implementation.
