On Friday, October 13, the Latino Coalition for a Healthy California will kick off a day-long health policy summit titled “Regeneración: Latinx Health Policy Summit 2023,” bringing together over 150 leaders from all parts of California for a day-long summit featuring panel discussions addressing California’s Latinx communities’ most pressing health issues.

This Summit caps off Latino Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15) and is unique in bringing together community health workers and local advocates with statewide government and elected officials, policymakers, academics, and activists to uplift the health challenges of Latinx communities from the Central Valley, to the deserts, from the mountains to the coast. Actress and Activist Annie Gonzalez from Netflix’s “Gentefied” and Starz show “Vida” will provide the morning keynote. Other featured panelists include Belissa Escobedo, actress from the newly-released hit film “Blue Beetle” and “Hocus-Pocus 2,” she will join the conversation and offer her perspectives on the state of Latinx health in California.
