Addressing and solving the significant disparities in health care for disadvantaged communities takes courage, commitment, and determination, especially in a political environment that is contentious. Through “Advocacy in a Turbulent World: Solutions to Latino Health Disparities,” theLatino Physicians of California (LPOC) has brought together the leading health and political leaders to instruct, inspire and motivate current and future advocates. What is being done and how can everyone coalesce to send a strong effective message to address the health and health professions disparity that exists in our community?
