PRESS RELEASE: LCHC Statement on End of DACA Program

The Latino Coalition for a Healthy California (LCHC) reaffirms its commitment to the immigrant rights movement.

Sacramento, CA | September 5, 2017

In light of the recent actions to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, the Latino Coalition for a Healthy California (LCHC) reaffirms its commitment to the immigrant rights movement.

LCHC’s Executive Director, Dr. Jeffrey Reynoso, asserts “We believe that immigration policy is health policy. The research is increasingly showing how the DACA program has provided direct mental health benefits for youth and communities. LCHC stands in solidarity with the immigrant rights movement and further policy actions that move us forward as a State and country on the path towards health for all, regardless of immigration status.”

We invite you to visit LCHC.ORG and click on our Health for All Toolkit to find ways to know your health and immigrant rights, make a plan, and find legal help.

We at LCHC stand in solidarity with community, State, and Federal leaders advancing efforts that protect and move health rights forward for our immigrant communities in California and across the country.

“In solidarity,”
